Bellinter House ★★★★

A lovely hotel and a lovely stay. We had a warm welcome, the room was lovely and breakfast was wonderful.

Beautiful historic house. Decorated for Christmas. Liked the stable conversions and spa.

Little noisy from overhead guests. Overcharged at dinner in error. Bar staff not the friendliest

Gorgeous period home converted to a hotel, the whole hotel was beautifully decorated with some quirky aspects which we loved. The room was spacious, bathroom was huge! Lovely and warm, on a very cold day, and smelt nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and happy to chat with us about the house itself. We didn't see or use the spa but it was included in our booking which we thought was a great benefit!

Cobwebs everywhere :) Having to go outside to get to our room block was a very minor inconvenience, but I can imagine in wet weather it would be an annoyance!

Lovely place, very relaxing vibe around the House. Staff excellent, food first class.

Only issue and very minor was the lighting in the room was a bit low. Fine for us but maybe an issue for someone with vision problems.

It’s a magnificent place for relaxing. Lovely breakfast personal and good quality of the product. I didn’t have time for trying the spa/hot tub but I’d loved to, it looked amazing.

Room not similar to the photos, we had to kill a very big spider in the middle of the night. We couldn’t place our big luggage in the room bc it was smaller than we expected.

Loved the house and bedroom.

Eden dining room not nice atmosphere needs something to absorb the sound cavernous with an echo.

This is a beautiful old heritage building sympathetically restored. The staff were really friendly in a most natural way rather than the contrived formality and fussiness that can be delivered in so many for star hotels. Well done...you got the balance right for a relaxing stay.

Nothing of note that I didn't like

Went for a run nearby lovely area. Food was fabulous at breakfast and evening meals.

Miss the swimming pool. The gravel can be noisy beside the stables.

I loved the very short drive from Dublin. It’s a hidden gem and ticks all the boxes. A relaxing spa, lovely country location, delicious food and friendly staff- I’ll definitely be back.

Staff were are so friendly and helpful . They made us feel very welcome . Social distancing was excellent also

I thought the a la carte dinner downstairs in the evening wasn’t good value for money . Disappointed with that . We are upstairs in the causal lounge on the 1st night and food was good and value for money

The outdoor hot tub was fantastic. The spa treatments were really top quality. The room was quirky and cute.

Kind of expensive for one night when dinner, room, and spa treatment was all factored in. Food was good but the price suggested a higher standard.

Breakfast was very good. Location excellent for us as we visited Newgrange and Hill of Tara. Lovely view of front lawn from our room. Very good value

Chairs in dining room could be more comfortable. Artwork could be more in keeping with a period house

The only complaint would be not having robes and slippers in the room, when we asked the receptionist at the spa she told us we had to pay €5 for robes? Yet we found slippers and robes in the lockers of the ladies dressing room? No idea why she asked us to pay and why she didn’t tell us they were already provided free in our lockers? Weird.

Bellinter House is a very special place- the location is so peaceful and relaxed. The staff were very helpful and the facilities are brilliant. So much to do without leaving the estate.

Beautiful hotel for a different experience. We were put in the stables as we booked late and would have preferred to be in the main building but that was on us. The room was lovely and very different. It was a little bit on the dusty side and a bit small but the decor was nice and had great facilities- coffee,tea, kettle, tv . In the morning they sent up extra towels etc to the door without us asking which was really nice. Shower was beautiful and the shower gel (rituals) was gorgeous. The bed was extremely comfortable and hard to leave because of this. We had a meal on the first night in the drawing room and really enjoyed the food and relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. The cocktails are a MUST they are just incredible if youre a cocktail fan and a great selection of drinks on the menu. The staff were lovely and friendly at the bar . We used the jacuzzi on the second night aswell and it was amazing. The steam room and sauna were also open which was great. Beautiful surroundings and grounds and loved all the lights and little touches. Made it even more relaxing. Breakfast was fabulous and the lady at breakfast was so friendly. If you're getting the crepes though I would recommend asking for the syrup on the side because they were a bit smothered in it but my friend loved the full Irish and it looked very good. Lots to choose from on the breakfast menu aswell.

Emailed inquiring about whether the bar was open if we were not getting food and did not get a response regarding it but it was a small issue. Room slightly dusty and we had a few spider friends in the bathroom probably due to being in the stables / more outdoor area. Aside from this we didn't really have any problems.
